Diversity of Tactics. We can all agree under diversity of tactics, but what is the line between non/violence?
"Non-violence" is a fluid definition. There is no one right answer. Words can hurt more than an arrow in the knee, but many people don't consider that violence. Many people wouldn't consider having a bank thrust you into poverty to be violence either. And yet, those things leave hurt and scars that no band-aid, no operation or window replacement can fix.
For the most part, those participants of the Black Bloc tactic (not necessarily anarchists, and hardly even a loose collective) hold as a general standard that when engaging in property destruction, that the destruction is targeted, methodical, and so that it's the property that's destroyed - not people.
So when you start to read this beginners guide - liberate yourself of the traditional "Mother, may I?" ideals, and consider - does property damage hurt people, or does it hurt corporations? Is it violence to destroy an inanimate object? If so, then scan your abode for any inanimate object you've ever broken, and generalize yourself as a "fucking anarchist". If you object, welcome to the world of the misunderstood anarchists.
